Recording & Prepping Your Lessons

I recommend Canva to create and record any slide shows or video trainings you want to do. In the Screenshare video below, I am going to walk you through exactly what this process looks like, how to go from your lesson planning sheets into Canva, and the most effective things to include from an educational design perspective.

I also recommend using Canva to create all the graphics you may need for your course. If you want to create “banners” to include in your lessons or in your workbook, I recommend a graphic size of 7x2.5 inches.

If you want to do audio recordings in your mini course, there are a few really simple ways to record them. The first option is if you have a mac computer and have access to use garage band. Check out the screen share videos below. If you don’t have a mac, the other option is to use Zoom.

Not every course platform has the option for audio clip uploads like you see here. A workaround to this is to upload the audio clips to your google drive, and then include them as links in your lesson.
